A Question.

There's a big discussion going on amongst what I loosely call the ClueTrain bunch regarding sexism/feminism/girlyism etc. It's an interesting discussion but has generally settled into polarized camps. But I have a question that I haven't seen addressed.

One of the women in the comments talks about not being good at math/science/tech stuff. She feels that perhaps that is gender-related.

That's the comment that pushes my buttons, because I think it's wrong wrong wrong. I remember hearing that sort of thinking in the sixties and it actually caused me some problems. (I'm naturally good at math and of course, if you hear that girls aren't supposed to be, it kind of...well, you learn to play things down.)

But...maybe I'm wrong. Maybe there is a gender difference? I'm really interested in folks' opinions on this, so thanks for any input you have.
